| Marketing Information | The FlexPoint 232 is a serial RS-232 fiber converter and extender with baud-rate autosensing supporting speeds of up to 115,200 baud. The FlexPoint 232 fiber converter/extender is a member of the modular FlexPoint product line. This converter extends the distance of the connection to 5 km (3.1 mi.) using multimode fiber and to 58km (36mi.) using single-mode fiber. This wide range of distance support provides solutions to the connectivity needs of short haul as well as long haul fiber users. It FlexPoint 232 supports both half-duplex and full-duplex modes of operation.
The FlexPoint offers several mounting options. It can be mounted stand-alone utilizing optional wall-mounting hardware. It can also be rack-mounted using a 5-unit rack-mounting shelf or in a 14-unit FlexPoint Powered Chassis.
