Authenticating wireless users, optimizing RF gain, assigning radio channels and monitoring the RF environment can all be done remotely from a central Wireless Switch Manager console (additional purchase required). With just a few keystrokes, administrators can change parameters for multiple Managed Access Points (MAPs), eliminating the time-consuming task of individually configuring each device.
The WXR100 can be configured to provide local AAA services to keep local wireless services going, even if the WAN link to the central office fails. The WXR100 can also offorad IEEE 802.1X/EAP authentication processing to significantly reduce the WAN traffic to the central RADIUS servers.
